Merkin Vineyards Tasting Room and Osteria

The wife and I have rented a beautiful Air B&B for the Thanksgiving week between Cottonwood and Sedona, Arizona. We have tried several local restaurants in both towns in pursuit of delicious food and attentive service. We were quickly becoming discouraged before we discovered Merkin. It had everything we were looking for and more.The food was reasonably priced; the dining environment was cozy and chic with a warm touch; the waiter had an impressive knowledge about their food and wine and was very attentive to our needs; the wine did not include any added sugars so it wasn’t overly sweet; the food was delicious and exceeded our expectations- especially for the price; and everything is made in house.Everything we ordered was great!- Mixed Wine Flight- Bread with Infused Butter (complimentary) - Bruschetta Traditionale - Macaroni and Cheese (red noodles) w/ Seasoned Chicken Breast- Gnocchi w/ Sirloin Steak

Fabulous eatery in the heart of downtown Cottonwood. The locally sourced fare highlights vegetables, meats and wine from Central and southern Arizona. The pasta's are first rate and fresh, with bright and cheerful service. While the Merkin label wines are always great, they also host some of the collaborative wines through Four Eight Wineworks are a treat. I make a point of visiting here for lunch and dinner when I'm in the area.
